The weekend's 50 drop in Blackmore occupants has me alarmed. To many Blackmore isn't so much of a safe haven as it is a symbol. We need to focus all of our forces on Blackmore and Nichols and have it stay that way for a long time. Long enough so that the RRF comes back from the bash, tries to take Blackmore, fails, and concedes Blackmore to the survivors. THEN we start to attack nearby buildings, and slowly purge Ridleybank of the zombies. As long as we have Nichols mall nearly all of our supplies are taken care of. This goes without saying. That makes other resource buildings in Ridleybank rather superfolous. The RRF will much sooner concede Blackmore to us thinking that it will only be that one building. If we can capture that one stronghold in Ridleybank, then this victory will bring in hordes of survivors to flood into Ridleybank causing a massive war in the suburb. Thats the thing though, a lot of us are heading to Nichols to help keep the supply line running. We're fighting a battle on two fronts, Nichols and the Blackmore. Nichols needs all the men it can get, because if one part is lost, its all lost. We however, only need to barricade one section, and can use less survivors. As for focussing only on the Blackmore, and not the surrounding buildings, I would agree, except for one thing. It is the RRF's intention to ransack all other nearby buildings, and then focus on us so we have nowhere to run. The Blackmore should be our main goal, but turning a blind eye to our surroundings is about as smart as appointing Sonny as papa of the RRF-OOPS, did I say that out loud *teehee*

I'm not so concerned about the 50 drop inside Blackmore because what it most likely means is that those 50 have either gone to Nichols to help keep it secure or to the other buildings in Ridleybank and spread the territory of Greater Blackmore.
I have every confidence that the Blackmore Building is fine. It won't be ransacked. Not only will the horde have to break down the barricades, they'll have to break down the bodycades, and there is NO way that they'll be able to break in enough zombies to kill all the Bastards before we can bring the barricades back up.
While I agree that securing the buildings around Blackmore isn't tactically necessary it may be sound diplomatically as the more territory we hold will force the RRF to surrender sooner.

We can't lose Blackmore now, it's a symbol that the RRF isn't the super monster we all thought it to be. Thats what we need to hold first of all. We should all stay inside Blackmore, if we spilt our numbers up into 3 or 4 other buildings, all the zeds need to do is gather all their undead at one building, and BAM 1/3rd or 1/4th of us are dead.
Nichol mall is our main base, but right now we hould concenrate on holding Blackmore. Yes if it falls, it will make life that much harder. But there are 7 hospitals within a 7 ap of Blackmore, 2 police stations within 5, a firestation within 4, along with numerous warehouses, factories, and auto repair yards. It's not like we don't have other places to find supplies. They can't keep them all ransacked forever.

I agree completely. Spreading our numbers throughout greater Blackmore, and eventually all of Ridleybank not only is a great way to kick the RRF where it counts, but would sure look great to any survivors still curious about joining the cause. I also agree that the Blackmore is in no IMMEDIATE danger, but I'll stick to what I said with it being our main focus. Nichols is our supply line, so it holds top priority just as much as Blackmore, but lets not all go rushing down and underfurnish the very reason all of us are here.

as Ron has said in RRF forums, they outnumbered us 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 and we held.
We are too focused on Blackmore. Blackmore was a battle and a rallying point like Thermopylae or Kursk, for a greater conquest, not the absolute reason for the invasion.
It is more than tactically sound to take the rest of the 'Bank than just having another 5 week camping campaign in blackmore. Blackmore is just ONE building of the 65 others that compose the Riddleybank suburb, which was the original goal of this incursion to Riddleybank. If we're going to win the Greater War of the Riddleybank we need to secure then entire Bank and show that we can hold more than one building.

Ah, I see where you're getting at. I forgot that we had originally been outnumbered, and still held. You have me salivating at the thought of Ridleybank in NMC hands...yummy

With 500+ zombies it's a lot easier to organize massive strikes, bring barricades down instantaneously, and cause much more destruction with each successful break in. Don't underestimate the RRF or it will be the death of us all!

Its not so much underestimating them, as it is realising their recent downfall. The RRF isn't what it used to be, and I've lost a good chunk of respect for them now that I've seen and talked to them up close and personal.
I'm not saying we're unbeatable here, but I am saying that I don't see us getting booted anytime before the 5th of November.
EDITED TO SAY: It seems combat reviving is still a problem in the Blackmore area, and a zed by the name of Tim Mchugelarge(or largehuge, one of those) came in and got stuck by one of our guys. Then, after telling the idiot to get brainrot, I got accused of being one of your alts Fangleader, fancy that(heh ^_^').

Heh I just saw Babette2 say, thought it was funny. But we do need to stop with all the combat revives. Chances are it's the few people who aren't part of a group doing it, but it affects everyone. Everyday at least 1 or 2 CR Zeds get in, kill a few people, our generator, and hurt the cades.

I agree, I do not at all support combat revives(except of Sonny), and for the exact same reasons you dont support them. The zeds use it as a chance to PK, and GK, and it all in all is not worth the AP we have to waste by getting a new Gen, and reviving our fallen comrades. I do however support the bashing of whining zombies, who aren't comitted enough to get Brain Rot. If you're going to fear getting combat revived, then get brain rot, and make the generator your first target when entering a NT building.

Gah! I made it back from Nichols, and an hour later I'm dead. That sucks...
Side note - things aren't looking too hot. 34 in line at Margery Avenue, 200+ zeds outside Blackmore now, something like 160 survivors inside. We need more people.

The drop in survivor numbers continues.
It's 144 against 207 right now.
We can hold out this way - but just to be safe, we should get more people back to the Blackmore. What if the whole of Group 0 lands, takes out, let's say, 50 survivors in the Blackmore, and keeps besieging it? There would be less than 100 Bastards left, and our campaign 'd be doomed.

Question: do we have an IRC chat server? Actually, this would be quite handy. As an interim channel, I've made up #blackmore on Quakenet. Feel free to join it!
