All good stuff going on in this thread- but don't just talk about it here! Run around in Greater Blackmore and tell everyone that if they don't fall back, there isn't going to be a Greater Blackmore at the end of the week. Shacknews and the RRF are going to hit and we're going to have break ins of up to 80 zombies on a daily basis. Remember, the Shacknews guys all play at the same time- literally. I had an alt in the corner that got hit in Nichols. I logged in, saw no zombies and VH barricades, then came back no less than 10 minutes later to find 50 zombies inside.
This is the single largest test we've faced yet and if Blackmore falls, it will be within the next week and a half. We can prevent it, but we need to get absolutely everyone within earshot into Blackmore, and not Greater Blackmore. I'm on my way and will be there within a day or two, but I'd really appreciate it if some of you guys could spread the "fall back to Blackmore" word for me!

I've asked the DEM to send in a large force, but I don't know how well that's going to work out - they seem reluctant for some reason. They think that they should help the other suburbs even though they don't understand that when these 500 zombies get together to destroy us, they're not going to break apart when they do.
I've also asked 4-H to send some help. If you know of any other survivor groups I can go, I'll be happy to beg them for manpower. I'll make a thread just for that.

I've not been quite so fortunate, but I took a couple infectuous bites out of the zeds in Nichols and beat on a rotter that's clogging up the revive point. If anyone has a needle to spare, I'm at Margery.
Speaking of which, Nichols is looking bad - 100+ zeds inside, and the NE corner is 'sacked. I'm here until the RRF gives up, though. Even if they kill me, I'm still a threat to them. Only zed skill I lack is the rot.

It's fair to say Nichols is lost.
If we don't get reinforcements soon, the Blackmore Building will fall.
There's too few of us to face the surplus of 150 zombies that will come from Nichols, which will probably happen on one of the following days.

The surpise 150 zombies wouldn't be a big deal if they weren't organized zombies. That's our one big downfall. The choice should be Blackmore. It's much simpler to defend than a mall. The mall is already well beyond our reach anyway.
EDIT: I just logged in (usually I read the forums before I log on) and the building is already essentially lost. 74 zombies inside, only 116 people left standing (I'm one of them) I used my 16 AP to cade to what I could, but it looks to be the end unless we get a suprise 200 reinforcements or something. The "bodycades" are falling.

Best face it laddie. We're essentially lost. I'm shouting out a few battle cries inside but other than that, the Blackmore is done for. It's been a good adventure and I said I would stay around till the last of my blood pours from my veins, and well I intend to. We'll all be dead soon. We need to create a new course of action.

The bash is here. There was 200 of us inside the Blackmore and almost all of us were killed and if you aren't dead yet, you will be soon. The Blackmore allowed us to keep revive rates up and without it our occupation will be that much more difficult. I think the best course of action for us would be an organized retreat somewhere so that we may lick our wounds and restock. That's just me.

 Crap. There is a horde of 105 zombies here. EDIT: Ok guys, we need to not panic. We held out when they outnumbered us 4 to 1, this doesn't have to be the end. Don't abandon the Blackmore yet please, keep reviving at Margery and we can make it through this. And ask other groups for their help! Revenge of the EDIT: Oh and Rockby, we don't need that kind of negativity. You're just going to cause people to panic and leave, and that will be a self fulfilling prophecy. We don't have to be lost if we keep our heads and if we can get some help. |
