So far, this has been a fairly amusing little escapade, and most of the PKers in the Blackmore seem to have behaved themselves. However, sadly, some seem to have trouble distinguishing friend from foe and affectionate love shotgun blasts from shotgun blasts that hurt our feelings (and pride) and cost valuable needles that should be getting stuck in real zombies, instead.
We knew when we entered into this that we'd be dealing with a rougher crowd than we normally hang with in the Blackmore, but there's a point where "entertaining" becomes "irritating." To that end, I've created this thread. If someone has PKed you in a way that you feels more like a violation of your personal space than good-natured ribbing, post their name and ID here. Proof? If you're a Bastard in good standing, that's all the proof I need (not like we won't all see it happen anyway).
What next? Well, bounty hunters are fond of the expression Kill on Sight (KOS), but we're not a bounty hunter group. We kill zombies only. So instead, let's use the expression Treat as Zombie (TAZ). If they're in the Blackmore, we headshot them like zombies. If they're at revive points, we headshot them like rotters. They'll remain a zombie until the Bastard who put up their name forgives them for their crime in this thread. What if more than one Bastard has someone on this list? Well, they stay a TAZ until every Bastard with a complaint forgives them.
Just to reiterate - nothing obligates a Bastard to post a complaint here whenever they're PKed. Nor will I fault any Bastard for trading a playful tit for tat with someone who PKed them. The TAZ list exists to deal with people who have really pissed us off.
I'd rather no one squeal to Rogue's Guild about anything that happens to us in the Blackmore. Just about all these merry men and women who've kindly invited us to picnic in Ridleybank with them have bounties on their heads, so bringing bounty hunters into this is punishing the classy with the classless. Moreover, it means fewer defenders in the Blackmore, as those PKers who don't die are not likely to stick around if righteous legions of bounty hunters are slaughtering half the people in the suburb.
Our lives are always in jeopardy when we come to the Blackmore, and this is no different. We've come to a den of PKers of our own free will with full knowledge of the risks we'd be facing. This is little different than what we always do, which is to power up a genny in a NT building in the middle of the zombie homeland. Good luck and good hunting.
