I'm still fighting at Blackmore, but I think that a military base would be a neat place to hole up. Anybody know where they are? We should find them. Since there are only two there will probably be a massive concetration of survivors on them.

I'm going to have a look-see if there's any noticeable difference in Fort Creedy.

# Burly Bob said "Great game news... I'm heading over to Fort Creedy." (14 hours and 38 minutes ago) # A flare was fired 3 blocks to the east and 6 blocks to the south. (14 hours and 33 minutes ago) # Burly Bob said "That's messed up... you can only enter the fort from the East, and you free-run from the armory to the Infirmary, Storehouse, & barracks (N & W) FROM the armory but not TO the armory. The three blocks to south of the armory are all accessible from inside" (14 hours and 30 minutes ago) # Burly Bob said "the fort, but you cannot move from them to any of the adjacent blocks (St. Benedict's, etc) because the ''Looming walls of the Fort'' block passage." (14 hours and 27 minutes ago) # Burly Bob said "One way in, one way out. I guess it makes the Armory easier to defend, but it still seems strange to me." (14 hours and 26 minutes ago)

the issue with defending these new forts seems to be that you can only enter without free running (so we have to keep the gatehouse at VS+2), and also that once a zombie gets in, it's supposed to be really hard to get them out - check out the wiki page: wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Forts#Forts

i ADDED the little comment about the downside. seriously though, if u fget enough zeds, and enough concieted survivers in the fort, its a hopeless lose lose situation the forts are now lose lose situations

dont be so quick to judge, Sex Panther. Creedy seems to be fine for the moment, and perryn will soon be in our hands

but what happens when a horde manages to get in, once a horde gets in the base is a all out eternal battlezone tell 1 of the 2 sides leave.

all it would take is a large group of zeds, a colition of zed groups or all of shacknews and the RRF to get in.

I'm confused, I got to the gate house - with an alt, info minister still needs the needle - and entered the gatehouse. Killed a zed inside, 77 outside, then tried to free run into any of the other fort buildings but always ended up outside, where there was people and zeds all milling about. I'm still at the gatehouse, inside, but my ap and ammo are all running low. How do I freerun into the armoury???
