I figure, since there was talk of it before, and since The Dead continue to ruin our peaceful library, I suggest we take literature on the road! At least for a little while
If you 'really' like the idea, I think I can get a guy to get us a book mobile. Sure it's a panel van with no windows and the words 'Free Candy' spraypainted on it, but I'm sure it won't be a problem.
I propose if we do vote to head off and be adventurous, a 4-corners of Malton trip would be fun. I've always wanted to do that.

Okay, I was just hammering an idea out with pictures and everything. It isn't quite a tour of the four corners, but I have this awesome path all figured out. Oh, and it is a race... there will be specific games along the route... I'll let you know later. But oh yeah, it should be fun fun fun. A lot of new friends and it should be stylish. p.s. What do you think about this route, peashooter? p.p.s. If anyone can surround the route with a flaming circle, I'd be obliged. p.p.p.s. We should invite some other small to mid-sized groups. e.g. the ULC

We can arrange rot revives. Don't know how, but we can. We're librarians. Failure is not in our vocabulary!

EDIT: The tour shall now be called: 'The Pentagram of Literacy Tour'

No, screw barhahville. I already have some fun things schemed. I am way too drunk to eddit this type of image file. Then I'd have to host it again, and most likely come up with a new itinerary. Wow, I spelled that right drunk-n-shit. ;D

May I be so bold as to offer a few modest suggestions as a means for increasing involvement in the Quartly library on the road ,so to speak?
As an art conservator, who by nature are a staid and cautious lot , I have little use for violence and prefer to only assist in preserving objects and in deciphering art. I feel encouraged that an open forum might be a means of obtaining insights about what drives people to attend different types of arts events.
I propose an art exhibit of the definitive reference works of many Genres curated by the Quartly members in some unused building or ...dare I think on such a grand scale...some mansion? It would necessarily be closed and guarded until the grand opening ,which could be a gala of great proportions with drinks ,formal dress and general merriment leading to its inevitable conclusion of gate crashers and mayhem.
Or perhaps A First Friday Graffiti Art Walk ,for instance ,with graffiti suitable for the occasion to be enjoyed by survivors and zombies alike on the first Friday of each month. Perhaps on one or two little used streets of Malton, several hosts might be present with FAK refreshments along the way for our guests with the occasional nip for the new zombie or cut for the new survivor indulged. A few of the older zombies could be strolling carolers or mimes? I realize this might be ambitious undertaking but we could start small with only a host and a location and see if anyone bites. While I'm extremely comfortable with dancing ,loud music and most other forms of alcohol induced frivolity , would it be naive of me to hope that the younger ones be shielded from the excesses of headshots and infections? A temporary first aid station might be provided for them ,nearby, with priority given to the youngest.
For the movie buffs among us ,how about a film festival in a darkened theater with our favorite movie quotes?
As members of Malton's foremost literate group I feel you have a strong influence on the tone of this forum and I submit these ideas for your consideration . I know this group to be fertile minds of exceptional power and culture .

We were thinking something along both of those lines, actually. I'll leave it up to Sir Fred to give details, but art collecting and finding certain items is definitely on the list.

Ack, well I want to get this started before next weekend. As the papa of the RRF contacted the news-team about this interview (in the nefarious moggridge) I think they've got it handled. We can leave the downtown area and head south. I want everybody south of Shackleville by the 25th... Unless we get 8 negative votes to tie up the poll in the next three days.
