Thanks guys!
That might just be the best beer ever! ;D
I actually had cake last weekend, but not a sticky one, well, not that kind of sticky one at least. It was tasty though.
Since I'm weird like that, have a copy of my recipe for sticky cake! Yes, I'm giving you presents on my birthday! It's over here, but I'm still celebrating it in a lot of places I think, so here goes:
Sticky CakeYes, that's really the name for it. It's like a Swedish Brownie, except it's sticky and awesome.
First, you need 2 eggs. Throw them in a bucket (or the container of your choice).
Add 2 cups of sugar, or take the eggs first, doesn't really matter which you use first.
Mix until even.
Then, take 150-200 grams of butter/margarine or similar and melt it until it starts boiling. It needs to be really hot to melt the sugar properly. Hot melted fat made from cow fluids is essential in this one.
Butter up a smaller form. Think half a dinner plate or something like that. It can be about half full, but probably not more, unless you really like cleaning your oven or something.
Oh, and put the oven on at around 175 C (347 Farenheit. Do you even use that for ovens? blink.gif )
I usually go for a little less heat, to avoid turning the cake solid, in which case it turns into a less tasty brownie.
After mixing the melted butter (of whatever fat your using) with the sugar/egg mix. Throw on 4 tablespoons of cocoa, 1 and 1/2 cup of flour, and a tad of baking soda/powder/whatever it's called (I'm quite sure it's soda though).
Mix furiously into a very tasty paste. Seriously, you should have no problem eating most of it before putting it into the oven.
Try to pour it into the mold before it gets cold, or wait until it gets cold if you want to have a lot of it left in the bucket to eat with a spoon. (Or save all of it for use in the bedroom maybe?)
Anyway, pour into mold, place in oven for 15-20 minutes. Wait until there's a slight crust on it, but don't let it swell up, cause then it's gonna be failed brownie instead. I'd probably poke it a bit with a fork or something to determine how sticky it is. It's gonna be less sticky once it's cold, so don't worry too much about it being too sticky. Plus, it tastes better when it's sticky, and you're supposed to eat it with a spoon anyway. Well, I think so at least.
Sprinkle some vanilla powder on it for garnering, or use whipped cream. I'd probably go with the cream, but you could probably get creative there.
Anyway, that's more or less it. Good luck!
That's it! Go make a cake in my honor or something?
