Don't know if this has already been thought of, but I would love to have an app for my iPhone that does the following: - Enter your character's log in.
- The app logs in every couple of minutes and checks for any notifications 'since your last turn'.
- If the app recognises something like "a zombie has clawed at you..." or "a zombie tears away the last of the barricades," it sends an alert to your phone that pops up like a text message alert and leaves a little warning badge on the app itself.
- 'Your_Character_name is under attack!' or some such.
The alert pop up would work in the same manner as the ebay app when someone outbids you. The app could have a zombie or survivor mode that looks only for game events relevant to your character's lifestyle... What are the hurdles to creating what seems to be a relatively simple app? I'd love to have this for my phone, and I think a lot of UD players would install it for their android, iphone etc.

I think something like this would be great for UD, even though I do not own one of these magical, fantastical "iPhones" or "Android phones" you speak of. I only have a "cell phone" that I scrounged from a pile of rubble. And my only Android is the one I'm building in the Ranger bomb shelter. However, it might bring a lot of new players into the game, and then the older players could have the pleasure of grousing about how much better things were in the old days, before these cyber-trenchies showed up. In short, I'm all for it.
