I havn't been around here in forever, but I see lots of the old people still around. This is sad news. I remember winka teaching me how not to suck at this game way back when.

For this one occasion, I will be un-idling DJSpinbad. It seems more appropriate if I come visit with my NMC alt... Rest in peace, winka. You will be missed. As for ideas on where to have her memorial services, I'd recommend somewhere that was very dear to the NMC (Ackland Mall, Blackmore, the Zoo, etc).

This is quite upsetting. I knew Winka as a librarian of the finest sort.
When and where is this memorial to be? The PK are in the middle of a months-long war but I'll rip 'em out of the trenches for a week or more for this.
Rest In Peace you glorious beasty.
...She was 78?!

I am very sorry to hear of Winka's passing, she always brought a smile to my face. My thoughts are with the Rangers and QSG and all of the many friends she made. She was one of the good ones.

I would like to have an all-day memorial at Quartly Library this Friday for winka. I think that will give everyone time to prepare themselves and get there. Here is the library, if you don't know where it is: map.dssrzs.org/location/66-52If anyone thinks Friday is too soon logistically, speak up and we can push the date back. Thanks to everyone who has shared their thoughts here. I will communicate all of this to winka's family. They'll appreciate it.

So here's a thought. How about a wikipage on UDWiki to honor Winka? Of course, this wouldn't qualify to be on the main space, so you'll have to put it under a group's subpage. Since the Rangers are hosting Winka's memorial, I'd say make a wikipage dedicated to Winka in either the Malton Rangers' namespace or NMC's namespace.

I don't know that much about the wiki, so it would be cool if someone else could make the page. Otherwise, I'll figure it out. We could direct people to post their tributes there as well as here and in Quartly on Friday. I could forward the URL to her family, although I'm not sure they know quite what to make of UD.
